Scamming is becoming popular especially is a sector of education and there is warning that given to the students to be aware of it, not to become victims. Education is a key of success, so some cruel people want to use it to rob the students.
Most departments that are experiencing this are Engineering, Management, and Mining related courses. Not all the BURSARIES, LEARNERSHIPS, INTERNSHIPS, APPRENTICESHIPS AND P2 TRAINING posts are real. Some of them are been place there to attract student attention so that they can be robbed their money.
Our victims are asked to pay money for bribery so that the can be granted the position, in many cases students are asked to deposit money at super markets and banks for training. After the student deposited the money it will be a goodbye, the scammer will change contact details. So be carefully there is no ways you can be asked to money for BURSARIES, LEARNERSHIPS, INTERNSHIPS, APPRENTICESHIPS AND P2 TRAINING. They are the who supposed to pay you not you paying them.
South Africa Police Service is aware of a matter they are many cases reported every day. The learners are warned that if they want to take part in any training section including BURSARIES, LEARNERSHIPS, INTERNSHIPS, APPRENTICESHIPS AND P2 TRAINING, they don't have to pay any fee. Make sure you do some research before applying to any advert you encounter on internet or newspaper, The best way is to always visit the company's website if you are looking vacancy, because they are many website that are operating to advertise those fake posts.
Most of the students are not aware of the process of apprenticeship and learnerships below I will share process of apprenticeship and learnership.
1. Application (no money involved)
There is no way you can be take part in apprenticeship program without any application. Application is the first step in an apprenticeship program, if you receive any call inviting you for interview, you must ask them how did they receive your information and ask them few question about their relation with the company they are calling you on their behalf. They some scammers who are collecting information the students from the internet, then they invite them for interview so that they can rob them. 2. Interview
Interview is been use to select the right candidate for the job. For every apprenticeship there is interview, the applicants need to be prepare for the interview. 3. Sign contract
It is important to sign contract, contract will give the applicant more details about the rules of the company, and by signing it, and you agree to follow all rules in the company. Important that are included in contract is the Salary, Working hours and others. It is important to read carefully before signing a contract, if you do not understand something asks for clarification. There is money need to sign the contract if you can be ask for money before signing contract, considers the company as scammer, and report it.
4. Medical Check up
Medical checkup is very important, in medical checkup the person is been tested to check if his/her body condition, are suitable and they allow him/her to work in the condition. Some scammers are robbing people using medical checkup, they promise applicants job then they will ask them to pay fee for medical checkup. Medical checkup is free of charge; it is company's responsibility to pay for medical test.
