An apprenticeship/s for a Spraypainter has become available at Motus Auto Worx based at Cape Town. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice would have gained knowledge on controlling all aspects of the paint shop from throughout to quality and the related costs whilst adhering to administrative requirements and agreed standard operating procedures. The purpose of the position is to equip an apprentice with the necessary skills in order to achieve the job objectives of an Spraypainter. Mixing colours and ensuring 100% match with vehicle, taking light variations into consideration. •Spraying vehicles and parts, ensuring colour matches and that there is no over spray. • Ensuring sufficient stock of consumables for daily jobs requirement and reporting insufficient stock to the Storeman. •Ensuring that Paint Shop is run in the most cost efficient manner. • Monitoring the use of all equipments in the Paint Shop and ensuring that all equipment remains in a state of good repair. Minimizing the risk of overspray. • Maintain a clean working environment.•Maintaining paint stock levels & ordering of all wet & dry paint related products. •Monitoring the use of all equipment in the Paint Shop and ensuring that all equipment remains in a state of good repair. •Performing other duties reasonably required from time to time.• Adhere to standard operating procedures within the area of accountability. • Grade 12 Minimum Requirement Competencies:
• Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license (at least 2 years old)
• Interests in the motor industry.
